Everything people ask before creating an event: how guests join, what happens at the reveal, what is included and what is not possible yet.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. The link opens the camera straight in the phone's browser, and the QR code does exactly the same thing. People type their name and start shooting. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Do I have to print the QR code?
No. Every event has a link, and sending it in the group chat works just like the QR code: whoever opens it joins the same capsule. The printed sign is for when you want the table to explain itself, and you can use both at the same event.
Really, not even I, the host, get to see the photos first?
Really. That is the whole point. The capsule opens for everyone at the same moment, you included.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once per event, and only if you need more people than the free plan holds. Nothing is charged afterwards.
What counts as a guest?
Anyone who joins the capsule, whether to take photos or just to see the wall afterwards. The host takes a spot too. Pick your size thinking about how many people will want to see the photos, not only how many will shoot.
What if more people turn up than I paid for?
Once the limit is reached, the event stops accepting new arrivals, through the link and through the QR code. But nobody has to stay locked out: you can make the event bigger from your dashboard, any time before the reveal, paying only the difference to the larger plan. It is still worth leaving yourself some room, counting the people who will only want to see the photos afterwards.
How does payment work?
It is a single payment for the event. Your event opens to guests as soon as the payment is confirmed.
How long are the photos kept?
Six months after the reveal on the free plan, and twelve months on the paid plans. To keep them for good, download the whole album in one click.
What if someone takes a photo they should not have?
The wall is private, so only people who joined the event can see it. After the reveal, the host can hide any photo or message from the wall, and put it back later if they change their mind. You can also remove a guest and change the event code. If a photo needs to be deleted for good, write to us at the contact address.
Can I change the camera after the event is created?
No. The camera is chosen at creation and develops the whole roll, like a film you load before the party. Choose it with the mood of the event in mind: Vintage pulls everything warm, Black & White gives contrast and handles difficult light, and Original keeps the colors as they were.
Do the photos come out in high resolution?
Downloading the whole album is included in every plan, at a size that looks great on screen and in small prints. If you want the files at the camera's full resolution, to enlarge or print big, you can unlock that for your event for $9 after the reveal, and it comes included from the 100-person plan up. It is optional, and you decide with the photos already in hand.
Can guests leave messages, not just photos?
Yes. Each guest can write up to 3 messages of up to 280 characters and record up to 2 voice messages of a minute each, straight in the browser, with nothing to download. They go in sealed alongside the photos and appear on the wall at the reveal, with the name of whoever left them. It is included in every plan, the free one included, and no message costs a photo.
What is the host's greeting?
It is a short audio clip you record from your dashboard, and it plays for everyone who joins your event, on the welcome screen and next to the recorder. It is where you say what you would like to hear back, and it is what makes the difference: a question gets a story, a bare record button gets silence. It can run up to a minute, you can re-record it as often as you like, and unlike a guest's message this one plays immediately, because it is the invitation rather than the memory.
